Can anyone give me some ideas for new speakers. I have a denon 3806 and a room about 15 X 13. I want to get new fronts and center for sure and maybe surrounds too. I would like to keep it under $2000.
I was leaning towards def techs but was wondering what else I should check out. I will use them 90% for HT.
Thanks

If you ask a thosand members you can get a thousand answers when it comes to speakers. The Def Tech are excellent speakers. You may wish to listen to Paraidgm, Infinity tss-1100, Klipsch, & psb as well in that price range. Happy hunting.
Go here, and see if there's a dealer near you, so you can listen to them. They are excellent speakers...........

Perfect for your sized room. At least that what the SVS rep told me for a similar sized room.

Ok,... for $2000 my choice would be 3 RBH MC-616C L/C/R msrp $479 ea. and 2 RBH MC-4C LS/RS msrp $419 pr. or a pr of MC-6C if you go a little over budget msrp $749 pr. for a total of $1856 or $2186
I take it you already have a sub?

the denon is pretty neutral so you will have a lot of choices. when you find what you like. then look on audiogon.com for some demos or used. that way you can buy them for around half price. more for your money. ellis sound is good for speakers and so is salksound.com also onix and swan and svs and hsu and axiomaudio. you could look at used vienna acoustics and totem and dali and dynaudio and energy and vandersteen as well as von schweikert. look and listen then you will know what is right for your ears. now if you want to buy them for me...

My vote goes to Energy Vertias 2.3i an 2.0Ci. Probably a couple of hudred above your limit, but worth it.

I'd go for some used Kef's or B&W's....can't go wrong and if you don't like them, you can always resell for what you paid. You can't beat that deal!
