Any 24 fans out there? This season has been hyped pretty well so far but the local TV critic in Sac says Fox is "selling it short" and the the first four hours "rock". Sounds good to me and I can't wait. Just a reminder that the first two hours are on Sunday night and then two more hours on Monday. Last year I blew it with my HD TiVo. On HD stuff I only keep two episodes so when I went to watch the Sunday episodes on Monday they had been deleted. Talk about being p*ssed off. Anyway that won't happen this year as I have my season pass set to save ALL episodes.

I've become a huge fan in the last couple months. I didn't watch the first 4 seasons because I wasn't a big Kiefer Sutherland fan. Caught some reruns, now I'm a addict. I just got done watching season four on DVD so I'm all ready for this Sunday and also have my Tivo set for the entire season.:D

The phones will be off, the computer powered down, the door locked, the child...well, we are still debating that one...she says new movie different room, I say benadryl;) . Don't call me, don't email me, don't bother me. I won't miss a minuted and if I do...there will be heck to pay!

Example of the intensity of my resolve...my parents are also into the show and during one episode last year they had a power failure...immediately call me to give them the play by play. They've since bought a generator and CLAIM it wasn't because of the 24 incident but I don't know

I liked the first season, then...family guy and what not came back, so I stopped watching it.

24 is by far the best show to hit TV since Farscape... IMNSHO

My wife and I are ready, the kid is ready (pre-teen), the dogs are ready, the in-laws are forwarned and the phone is being put on silent mode. Season pass is set up.

Now if I could just find the time to finish season 3 and 4 before 5 starts.

Here I go being a contrarian again.

I liked the first 6-10 episodes of 24. Then it got to be exactly the same show/story, week after week...with the tiring daughter and wife needing saving. (And I am a Keifer Sutherland fan.) It's like Lost, where the writers keep inventing (not new) mysteries to bring you in and heighten the tension...and then they never resolve it. No thanks.

And what about the new Battlestar Gallactica? AverageJoe and I wonder when they'll stop fighting each other and actually start battling the Cylons. I love sci-fi, but that show is pushing my limits. The hand-held camera work is no longer novel and it's used so much in the show that it'll make ya seasick.

As Sheepstar says...Bah!

Here I go being a contrarian again. Stop that! ;) Have you watched any of the other seasons? There is a lot of repetitive themes in the show that's for sure but they still make it exciting. I'm amazed they continue to keep me on the edge of my seat for most episodes. There's only three shows I watch on a regular basis. 24, Lost, and Desperate Housewives. Lost has been very good so far but I wonder how long they can make "pushing the button" last?

LOL, Duffinator. I only watched the first season. The first 24 hours would have been enough, as it turns out. Lost lost me about 2/3 the way through it's first season, too. and Desperate Housewives.....can't say I ever saw it (or wanted to ;) ). My wife is desperate enough.
