OK then we might as well have a counter balance to the other topic. Here is one of my most hated songs and just more proof that nobody in the dung beatles had any shred of talent. This song truly sucks and looks like it was written by a six year old learning how to ryme.

I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you

But it's gonna take money
A whole lotta spending money
It's gonne take plenty of money
To do it right child

It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, ummm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right child

I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you

And this time I know it's for real
The feelings that I feel
I know if I put my mind to it
I know that I really can do it

I got my mind set on you
Set on you
I got my mind set on you
Set on you

But it's gonna take money
A whole lotta spending money
It's gonna take plenty of money
To do it right child

It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, ummm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right

I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you

And this time I know it's for real
The feelings that I feel
I know if I put my mind to it
I know that I really can do it

But it's gonna take money
A whole lotta spending money
It's gonna take plenty of money
To do it right child

It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, ummm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right

Set on you
Set on you

I really love your peaches
Want to shake your tree

As big a Rush fan as I am (and apparently like many others here), and as good a lyricist and Neil Peart can be, I have to dock him points for some lines here and there. *

This one just popped into my head:
"Excitement so thick / You can cut it with a knife"
("Countdown")

C'mon Neil... where'd you pull that from? *Makes me cringe for some reason.

Wynona's got herself a big brown beaver
and she shows him off to all her friends
one day you know that beaver tried to leave her
so she caged him up a cyclone fence
*along came Lou with the old baboon
*and said "recognize that smell?"
*"smells like seven layers,
*that beaver eats Taco Bell."
Now Rex he was a texan out of New Orleans
and he traveled with the carnival shows
he ran bumper cars, sucked cheap cigars
and candied up his nose
*he got wind of the big brown beaver
*so he thought he'd take himself a peek
*but the beaver was quick
*and grabbed him by the kiwis
*now he ain't pissed for a week
*(and a half)
now Wynona took her big brown beaver
and she stuck him up in the air
said "I sure do love this big brown beaver
and I wish I did have a pair"
*now the beaver once slept for seven days
*and it gave us all an awful fright
*so I tickled his chin and gave him a pinch
*and the bastard tried to bite me
Wynona loved her big brown beaver
and she stroked him all the time
she pricked her finger one day and it
occurred to her she might have a porcupine

Ahh... Steve Miller. The King of bad sound effects. How about that line from Take the Money And Run: *"Bobbie Sue took the money and run." ...and run??? That's not even correct grammer.

I'm a Beatles fan, but the lyrics on "Love Me Do" isn't a masterpiece.

Love, Love me Do
You know I love you
I'll always be true
Love me do

"I know what boys like, I know what guys want..." repeat - ad nauseum.

I am convinced that an MTV exec had a bet with a producer that he coud make people like that song if he played it enough times.

"I'm too sexy for my shirt... too sexy for my shirt..."

Remember the episode of The Simpsons a few years back when they flashed back to Homer's high school days? That's what he was listening and singing along to in his rustbucket car. Kinda says it all.

I saw a scantily clad female on SNL singing

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard
And They're like, "Its better than yours"
Damn right, its' better than yours
I can teach you but I have to charge
I can teach you but I have to charge

The name of the group was Kellis. It was so bad it was good.
