I am just getting started in this forum. I have a denon 3300 receiver and B&W speakers. What would be good DVD player? Do you recommend a separate CD player or is there a recommended DVD player that would fulfill both formats and deliver good audio response?

Are you sure you need to ask? Looks like you make great audio decisions on your own!
The Denon 2200 universal player is excellent. Would go well with your Denon receiver..........Has excellent picture quality as well as audio quality. No need for a seperate cd player now days, with most dvd players doing so well with everything.
If you don't want to spend the $500 or so for the Denon player, the Pioneer DV 563A is another very good player, for a lot less money. Best Buy and Circuit City sell the Pioneer for a very good price. Last week CC had it on sale for about $135. I have one, and love it!
Good luck with whatever you decide.
