Hello Everyone,

I am quite new at this forums thing, but I need sound recommendations on quality loudspeakers. I recently inherited a pair of Marantz Model 9 power amplifiers. Everything I've heard and read say these are "Classic" amplifiers. As a child I took them for granted and now as an adult and home audio and theater nut on a budget I am interested in listening to the warm sound of these great tube amplifiers. Ok, so right now I have a Harman Kardon DPR1001 reciever with other various components and am seeking recommedations for a pair of either small floorstanding or shelf speakers that would compliment the amps. Thanks.

The KLH 9's would complement your amplifiers well. Unfortunately they are not small floor standing speakers. They are thin.

What budget do you have for your new speakers?

As far as a budget is concerned, I'm thinking 1,000 - 2,000 range. I'm not in a hurry so budget isn't too important right now. I'm more interested in brand and type. Thanks
