I also ordered and received a refurbished one. The shipping was extremely fast and even though I live in Hawaii, I was only charged the standard $14.49 shipping fee. Awesome! Shipping to Hawaii for even light weight items usually cost more than mainland shipping destinatons. I'm working 12 hrs a day for the next week and a half so I haven't had much time to play with the Oppo yet but the picture (DVI out to a 65-inch Sony CRT) looks great right out the box. I'm going to calibrate the player using a digital video essentials disk when I get a chance. Does everyone know that Oppo digital just produced a newer, revised remote control? (Heard about this on the avsforum), I received an older remote but I email Oppo and the company promised to ship me the newer version free of charge on Monday. If you purchased your player within the last 30 days, Oppo will ship the newer remote for free. For everyone else, a $5 dollar shipping fee applied. Superb customer service!
