Anyone familiar with these speakers?

My dad was kind enough to give me a speaker setup. I believe they are about 5 years old. I cannot find much info about them on the Internet. I was wondering how they rate. The speakers are:

Phase Technology Octave Power 10 subwoofer
Mirage AVS-500 (there are 2 satellite and 1 center speaker)
Boston Acoustics T1030 (2 floor standing column speakers)

Also Yamaha rx-v595a amp. Sounds good but limited connections and crappy remote.

Would these speakers deserve an amp upgrade? Thinking about the Pioneer 1015.
