How far? Same as any other speakers;) Just don't turn up the volume to drive you to the next county, unless they are not very sensitive speakers in which case you will have to turn them up, like any other speakers.
Size doesn't mean loud.

I've been to that house - even the pets are audiophiles (see attached).

Those are real speakers, believe it or not. They are made by avanteguard. Here is the link: http://www.avantgarde-usa.com/trio.html
They retail for around $38,000 for the 2.1 setup. (That large silver cylinder between the two horns is a subwoofer.)

What a let down! I know this is an A/V site, but when I see a thread asking "are these real?" I just about break the button on my mouse clicking on the link. :mad:
