Subwoofer connection!

<font color='#000000'>Please help! &nbsp;My house is prewired so that that the subwoofer recieves 8 wires ( 4 left and 4 right). &nbsp;My problem is that I bought a new A/V receiver and it only has one RCA jack for the subwoofer out. &nbsp;What can I do? &nbsp;Are there adapters to convert the 8 wires down to one RCA? &nbsp;Can i buy a small amp for the subwoofer that has eight conections and connect that to the A/V receiver? &nbsp;Any ideas would be appreciated. &nbsp;Rewiring isn't really a practical option. &nbsp;Thanks</font>
