I am building a budget-conscious HT step-by-step, and am facing the title question -- new B25s, or used 3LRs. The frequency range is wider with the B25s which are also smaller (better WAF!). Room size 13 x 20 feet. 9ft. ceilings.
Also, any experience buying "factory blems" from places like DMC?

Be sure to check the Audioholics Classified section as there are some good deals to be had there. And pay attention to the Deals Deals Deals section...many fine sales are found and relayed to that site...(lots o' really good ones by Buckeyefan 1, especially...t'anx Buck).
I'm about to post there that Amazon has Mission speakers on sale at HALF price! Take a look at those...you make like 'em.
Happy building!! :)
I don't know what PSB is thinking with this model. Its sort of like an inbetween of a bookshelf and tower and I suspect buying the necessarry stands for this speaker might push you up near the price of the Image T45. If I were you I would choose between the B25s and the T45s. I've heard the B25 predessar the Image 2Bs, and they were phenominal. I haven't heard teh B25 but heard many good things about them. Takeereasy may have some good input here. If you're not using a sub, I would go for the T45s for the added bass punch as the B25s may not be up to the task to deliver strong bass in a room that big. Good luck and have fun
