Hi, I have a Mitsu WS55813. I want to connect to my cable box using the DVI connection to see if it is better than component video, but I am confused as to what kind of DVi cable to get. I was looking on ebay and there are DVI-A, DVI-D and all kinds of pin configurations. What kind of cable do I need? Also, how bad is it really to hook up a PS2 to a projection set? There seems to be some who say it is not a problem and others who think it is.
Thanks
Pete

I would guess DVD-D... Check out bluejean cables or impactacoutics (blue jean has some good info that might help you out)

Can't answer your DVI question, but regarding the PS2, you can pick up a cable with component video for your PS2 that offers great picture quality. It should be like $30 or so.

Maybe I should have been more clear about the PS2. I was concerned with burn-in. I would only be playing for an hour or so at most. Thanks for the quick responses.

DVI-I or DVI-D is appropriate. DVI-A is an analog connection and is similar to a VGA cable. DVI-D is a digital ONLY connection and is fine if you only plan on hooking up digital devices. DVI-I contains both digital and analog connections and allows you to do either analog or digital source components. Though, really, most will be digital, or DVI-D.
Yes, since you have a CRT television you need to be AWARE of possible burn in. Not concerned per-se, but aware. So, you want to limit your gaming, especially when you play a game that has a static image anywhere on the screen like the words "PLAYER 1" or a status map in the corner (Grand Theft Auto). Yep, just turn it off in an hour or so and you should be fine.
DLP and LCD do not have burn in issues, CRT and plasma do.
