Theatre system that eliminates sound flux...?

Hope this doesn't sound too silly but... I have Direct TV with a make shift amp setup...problem is, every chanel on Direct TV has a different volume. Not to mention commercials... So I find myself constantly adjusting the volume as I chanel surf, major payne. I have a ton o credit at Best Buy and I was wondering if there is a H.T. system that can take care of these "volume" annoyances?
