I compared these speakers to some really good speakers...Paradigm studio 100v3 and the Paradigm's sounded boxy and too bright sounding when compared to the Generic Chinese speakers. This has to be one of the best buy out there! I just wanted to pass the word around about these speakers. You can get them very cheap at $249.00 a set

hmm. better then Paradigm for $249.
Sounds like this is a promotional post or a scam.
Their webpage looks interesting.
Has anybody else ever heard of them, or auditioned the speakers?

Kenny Li from Generic Chinese speakers is going to let 5 people over at ecoustics forum try out some of these Generic Chinese speakers for free, they just pay shipping.
[Edit - Wow they must be of real quality to be able to give them away for free like that  - Admin.]

Kenny Li buys these speakers from places like made-in-china.com for pennys on the dollar. All those are are rebadged units everyone else uses. Check this site. I'm sure you'll recognize quite a few speakers - home and car.

Generic Chinese speakers is not an end all factory in China. There are thousands of factories in China that produce individual items. Generic Chinese speakers, if they are lucky, assemble these products in another plant in China. There are plants that churn out 50,000 woofers a day over there. That's all they do. China can make very good products, but at the price Generic Chinese speakers is charging, I promise you these are very "entry level" speakers. Have Mr Li send me these speakers (and 4 more sets to Mac, Spiffy, and Reorx), and we'll give you an honest report on them. If not, we'll just chalk them up to the $150 "white van" style speakers offered on ebay.

Quote removed to avoid promotion - Admin You know, its easy to talk bad about a product that you have never tried out, people on these forums do it all the time! I bet if anyone would try these speakers out they wouldn't be talking bad about them then!
[And I bet if you didn't spam their name and URL all over the Internet no one would even know they exist, let alone be duped into buying them - Admin]

Can I point something interesting out to you. Take this speaker:

$160 shipped for two tower speakers. Do you really think the drivers in these are any good? How about the build quality. Look at these specs:
Sensitivity: 80db
Impedance: 4-8 ohms
Frequency response: 20Hz - 20kHz (+/-3dB)
What is 4-8 ohms. Is that some kind of joke? And I bet that frequency response is dead on.
Do you know what 80dB sensitivity means? That could be a new record. You may need to plug those right into the wall to get sound out of them.

What is Tawaun driving these speakers with? Is that a powered side firing subwoofer? Why are these speakers touted as having dual 6.5" woofers on the front, then in the specs, say 5.5"? It's that way on most of the sites selling this unit.
91db/1w/1m sensitivity
4-8 ohms impedance (again, what the h*#% is that?)
20Hz-20kHz frequency response (I've got land in Florida if you're intersted)
600W max power handling (at how many milliseconds?)
300W optimal power handling (what the H&$@ is optimal?) how about rms?
Custom digital crossover circuitry (custom digital, wow)
1-in. silk dome tweeter
Detachable top tweeter
1-in. silk dome center tweeter (does this mean three tweeters?)
2 x 5.5-in. paper cone front woofer driver (it says two 6.5" in the descr.)
10-in. paper cone side subwoofer driver (powered? biampable?)
Black piano finish
For $249, you can do much better with a set of bookshelves. As of 6-5-05, Tawawn had 17 posts at ecoustics. He said he doesn't know what to do with his Mordaunt Shorts now that he has his Generic Chinese speakers. Geez. Didn't he also say Athena speakers were "bad?" He must have a metal eardrum.
Tawawn says here "Well I would go with a used Nad intergrated amp they like current and amprage. You may be able to land a Nad at E-bay or audiogon the 320bee or 352." Well no sh!t. All those Generic Chinese speakers need to be plugged into a wall for sound. They do that so you don't blow those p.o.s. drivers.
John Dizoe chimed in and said "Generic Chinese speakers sound and look like white van speakers to me. They look so cheap and corny that I can't imagine them sounding good. Tawaun and Richard probabaly work for the company, and are just trying to get people to buy them. " Well, glory be. What a revelation.
One of the ecoustic members compared the Generic Chinese speakers to Usher Audio speakers. There is no comparison. Please. And even then, Stereophile, who rarely slams anyone, slammed the Usher X-719 pretty hard - even at $1000 a pair. I will say Usher makes some pretty fancy looking speakers. Here's a cool looking set...a little more pricey though.
http://www.stereotimes.com/speak110203.shtm
The issue you get into with these very entry level chinese specialty speakers, is the cabinet and design ripoff effect. The idea is they "must sound good" based on their looks. Even the higher priced Usher's have stolen some of the top audio designs. Many of the speakers in the Usher “Compass” line’s “X” Series and Dancer Series bare a striking resemblance to speakers in the Sonus Faber speaker line - which is fine by me. They're not the only ripoff artists tough. The Snell XA Reference looks like a Thiel design, and the Carver Amazing loudspeaker looked like the classic Apogees.
Here's another look at the pretty Usher Audio speakers... http://audioholics.audioreview.com/cat/speakers/main-speaker/Usher/PRD_142595_1594crx.aspx#reviews
Soundideas,
I'm not trying to be rude. If you want that, go back to the ecoustic circus. What I'm saying is you are not going to find the type of quality sound a guy named Tawawn in Dayton claims Generic Chinese speakers puts out. Generic Chinese speakers never makes claim to running with $1200 towers. They know better. Audioholics is a different type of forum than ecoustics. We don't argue rediculous claims like this. I know a few of their seasoned members have tried to lay claim, but there's just too many ignorant newbies and guests chiming in left and right.
I've gone way overboard here because I don't want other members wasting time on such nonsense. If Generic Chinese speakers wants to send me (or Clint or Gene) a pair of their speakers, have them pm one of us. Audioholics has already demo'd a similar set of towers - Canyon Audio, which is very similar to Fluance. They received OK reviews 3.5 out of 5 - (and IMHO only that high because of the price). Please take the time to read the review. I'm sure you'll (as well as Tuwawn) find it enlightening.

Tawaun is driving these speakers with a Generic Chinese integrated amp. No, these are not powered subwoofers. I did tell Gene about these speakers, (if Gene reviews these speakers it will get  4 out of 5 or better!) Gene......PLEASE do a review on these speakers..............
[You want any kind of coverage you can get, good or bad. As a result of your actions here we will likely not review these speakers - Admin]

I'm been hearing that cables all sound the same, well I tried out some snake oil brand speaker cables WOW! These cables sound amazing on my Generic Chinese speakers, I braided my cables and they sound better this way to me. I was looking around on the web and found some reviews on these cables.
[Ah yes, even his dog walked by the room and commented on how great those cables sounded - Admin]

wow, not only does he not know what a speaker should sound like, he thinks cables make a WOW, whats funny is no matter what cables he's running to his speakers, there is cheap probably like 20 gauge wire inside the box...hmm....but it makes them sound better

I think its funny that they think marketing like that works, maybe to uneducated ppl I guess, what a shame too, I was going to order some Generic Chinese speakers off of the internet to throw in the garage, but after their shady tactics like this i'd never consider it. Maybe we should create an anti-Generic Chinese speakers.com website

No, actually it's easy to post GOOD about a product nobody has ever heard of on a forum where the only thing you are posting about is that product.
I.e. You are banned for shameless self promotion. Take it to a forum where people don't know any better.

Junk, garbage is what you get. Paradigmn are a premier speaker line. If it sounds as it does compared to the one you are peddling here, it is because yours are so bad, euphonic and inaccurate.
Wouldn't touch it if they were free.
Good try.
