analog digital connection

would like to know it is possible to receive a full Dolby digital signal from a satellite receiver connected to a AV hometheater through an RCA component analog connection.

<font color='#000080'>You must use the digital audio connection to get 5.1 Dolby Digital. And you still only get DD when it is actually broadcast.</font>
