In your case I'd definitely vote for the silver trim on.
My issue with the silver is that it clashed with the look of my other components.

That does sound kinda gay doesn't it. Be kind Alex.

    Awesome set-up BTW.

If I only had one or two Emo components and everything else was all black I'd definitely take off the trim. Right now everything is Emo except the BD player so there is some uniformity. When I built the cab I lined the legs up with the trim to give it clean lines.

The nice thing is it only takes about 15 minutes to change the look.

It's not gay to care about how things look. It would be gay if you wanted purple trim though.

    Default Nice!

When it was mentioned in the other thread that you should remove the silver trim, I was thinking that I liked the look with the silver. Now that I see the amps without the silver, very nice!

Thanks, I'm very happy with how it performs and looks. At least for now. The only thing on my wish list right now is a new BD player and my wife says the TV is too small.

Of all the things your wife can tell you are too small, the TV has to be one of the best.

The problem with a projector is the light. I went with an LCD because of the windows but would have gone projector or Plasma if not for the bright room. It is a terrible burden we are forced to live with because our house is so small.

You have a LCD that has a semi gloss screen... that actually worse against glare than most of the new plasma. Panasonic VT35 and Samsung C8000 plasma both use signal panes of glass that have filaments that run throughout them that act like louvers on window breaking up light on the TV. Go with one of those panels and you will get a better picture during the day as well as a much larger TV for the money.

But holy crap I want to live where you live!

I think the all-black look much better; they do not draw attention; they just look cool sitting there.

All that silver reminds me of a woodtrim in a car; all the Lexus, Mercedes, & B&W have just a few wood veneers, whereas some cars have fake woodtrims EVERYWHERE.
