I hate to sound dumb but although I have been reading message boards for a long time I have never posted anything. I have questions to ask the pros but I don`t even know how to post a question. I know I can get my answers here if someone can just tell me how to ask them Lol. Thanks for any help.

Go to the correct forum for the type of question. Near the top left, there is a "New Thread" icon. Click it. Add a title and your message. Hit Submit New Thread icon. Done.

Or do a search about the type of question you have on a particular subject, and go to that thread.

Just click on the "Search" logo, on the top right corner of your screen.

I personally find it useless to start a new thread about something that is already in one of the existing thread.

As this website grows in popularity we have also seen a large growth in redundant posts. Or posts asking a very generalized question such as should I buy brand A or brand B. Or questions inquiring on what brand of speaker sounds good with brand B receiver. These are all valid questions and they deserve an answer. Sometimes the best answer for these types of questions can be found in an article on the front page. Or can be found using the search link above by typing your key words. If a review has not been done on your product chances are you will find a thread discussing your receiver or speakers. Once you find the thread that fits your topic feel free to post your question there.

Using the search feature or reading the articles on the main page with often solve your problem. It also makes it easier for other users to keep track of the threads they are interested in.

And sometimes people who are not computer literate, not technically inclined, and not familiar with forums end up here and break this "rule", this needs to be understood. I google for hours before posting, and end up with adds and mis-information...Is this a place to chat about audio topics? Or a google search?

Then you have lonely, not interaction, and this site might as well be called: audio archive of info, not a forum.

I understand how you "veterans" don't want multiple posts on the same subject and we all want folks to search before starting threads but really, this is a FORUM and discussions, even repetitive ones, should be encouraged (and tolerated if that's the situation) since topics that come up often are typically most important to many.
